of St. Michael
inspired by the Tresures of San Marco Venice
This icon was copied from a photograph in a book entitled the Treasures of San Marco, Venice. I was so captivated by the ancient icon, that I collected beads, gold rounds, metal embossing, gold leaf supplies, and for one month was ensconsed in my studio.
The four small medallions are of St. Michael-top two, Mary with pearl bees-bottom left, and Christ surrounded by pearls threaded with gold wire-bottom right.
